Fernhollow Farm

Farm shop, open Thursday to Sunday

Picked this morning, on your table tonight.

Fernhollow is a small family farm at the bottom of a wooded valley. We grow vegetables, keep hens and ducks, and sell everything from a stone barn at the end of the lane.

How the farm works

We grow slowly

Nothing here is forced under lights. The vegetables come when the weather lets them, so the shop changes every week.

The soil comes first

Clover, compost and resting fields keep the ground alive. We would rather grow less than wear the land out.

Short trips only

Most of what we sell travels less than a hundred steps, from the field to the shop shelf, in a wooden crate.

“My grandmother planted the orchard. We are still eating her apples every autumn.”
